We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Ryan Diviney in Post-Op

I was able to update Ryan’s FaceBook page earlier, letting everyone who follows it know that he was out of surgery. We arrived at Children’s Hospital around 5:30 am. Ryan is now in pre-op, but nothing can happen in getting him ready for surgery until Sue returns from registration. So, for now we just wait.  We arranged to have him taken directly from the ambulance to an isolated room, with isolation precautions.

Surgery Today: Part 1

We’ve been up for hours. It was necessary to get Ryan ready for his baclofen pump removal surgery this morning. Sure, we did as much as we could yesterday night, but many things must happen at the very last second.  For example,  there’s no way to give him his scheduled medications before they’re due.

Surgery Tomorrow: Baclofen Pump Removal

October 2, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 16 Comments

It’s the middle of the Fuddruckin’ night. Sadly, I’ve been awake for hours. I can’t sleep… at all. I suppose this is fine since I’ll be tucking Ryan into bed very early tonight. He’ll just get his day started a earlier today. In just twenty-four hours — the middle of the fuddruckin’ night again — […]

Before I get to the today’s topic, I must let you know the De-Clutter for the Diviney mega, community yard sale was a huge — HUGE — success. I’m waiting on some pictures and final numbers before I recap that special day. What I won’t wait to do is thank everyone who attended and supported […]
