We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Yes, what I feel is beyond what the written language can offer. Besides, my thoughts are scattered and my emotions are not to be trusted. Still, I […]

Strength is One Thing. Endurance is Another.

November 5, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 12 Comments

I took the weekend off from writing. Truth is, I’m really not motivated to write today either. I’m forcing myself. This is a rough week with the three-year anniversary of my sons brutal beating (by Austin Vantrease and Jonathan May) sitting squarely in the middle. Oh, how I hate November 7th.

Online Haters: We Know What Your Are… Still

November 2, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 33 Comments

In June of 2011, I came across an interesting article on CNN.com, titled, How to Respond to Online Haters. It’s a comprehensive article that involves more than blogs or personal websites. It talks about anyone that uses Facebook, Tweeter, and so on. Meaning everyone is touched by these cretins. Back then I wrote about how […]

A Panorama of Ryan’s Room

November 1, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 13 Comments

Ryan’s room is a combination bedroom and hospital room. We try to make it homey, but there’s just no hiding all the equipment. Not to say we haven’t tried. For the most part, I feel we did a fine job of balancing it. So, I thought people might enjoy seeing how we have Ryan’s room […]
