In ICU as Precautionary
Ryan just left recovery and appears to be doing well. He is noticeably more comfortable. We all agreed that he should be monitored in the ICU, as opposed to the surgical floor. The main reason is he had a breathing tube in place during the surgery and this puts him at significant risk for pneumonia.
Surgery Successful. In Recovery.
The surgeon just met with us and the surgery went very well. The bone lined up nicely. He was just moved into recovery.
Ryan in Surgery
Ryan was taken to the operating room around 9:15 am. He seemed to be in good condition going in The surgery is expected to take “a couple hours”. Then another hour in recovery.
