On Tuesday morning, Ryan needed his tarsorrphaphy eye surgery redone. Since it failed the first time, this one was far more radical.
I just have two things for today. These show and say it all.
The first is his picture taken on Tuesday afternoon. It’s tearing me apart to see him this way. Fair warning though, it’s hard to look at without getting pissed-off and saddened. By the way, that’s the appropriate response and I hope it compels you to take action. The second is a link to a past post, Austin Vantrease Parole: We Must Take Sides. Please read it. Read it again, if you already have.

The repeated eye surgery required a longer double-incision in the eyelids, more stitching, plastic reinforcements, more eyelash removal, and more lid closure.
Speechless, SHSP!
Ken, Sue, kari & Sweet Precious Ryan, This hurts me to see this Picture of Ryan, it makes Me cry & Makes Me so angry at same time! as I have 2 children same age areas as your 2. My Son is 22 daughter 18 & I can tell you that I really do Not know what i would do if Vantrease gets off, I have always Believed In an eye for an eye But Our Justice system is Worthless! to say the Least. but i do Believe That everyone gets there,s in the End. I Have Witnessed it many many times in my 51 yrs. you will reep what you sow. those young Men that did this to Ryan will never have a good Life. i promise you! God has the final say! Please keep your head up & always Know that your Family is my Prayers everyday since this Horrific accident. I wish i lived closer & as I Believe we would be great Friends, Please Know that i continue to spread this story.Much Love to you all & kisses for Ryan <3
I have never seen karma to fail in my lifetime! God sees to this! I could tell some unbelievable stories… …There is little comfort in knowing this, but, truly, what goes around, comes around!
My letter was mailed on Monday and I continue praying for the Diviney family.
Praying for Ryan! I feel so sad for all of you. SHSP! Mailed my letter several weeks ago.
I offer my prayers for you and yours daily.
The man beaten was assaulted by 6 men, from a minor to age 55 years old. The victim worked for the Shale drilling field according to a news release I read, he was not a student. What makes these people think its ok to kick someone in the head or anywhere?
Hopefully the Morgantown jurors will find them guilty and the judge will this time have enough guts to sentence them to the max instead of the 2-10 he sentenced Austin to.
As for Ryan, he does look sad, and its sad to see him like this, he deserves better. I hope the parole board is able to see some of the pictures of him like this. Praying that in days we will be relieved that the Divineys do not have to worry about Austin Vantrease walking free for what he did to Ryan and their family.
I am deeply sadden. That is a difficult picture to look at and I wish it could be brought to the parole hearing. My prayer’s are with Ryan and his family.
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of painkiller did they prescribe and how long do you estimate Ryan will need it? By the way, my letter to the parole board has already been sent and most likely received.
Wrapping you up in love and prayer; saying I’m sad and outraged doesn’t touch it.
PLEASE EVERYONE SEND IN YOUR LETTERS TO THE PAROLE BOARD ASAP — LET US HELP RYAN AND HIS FAMILY HAVE THIS TINY MEASURE OF “JUSTICE.”
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Team Diviney is behind you, stronger than ever. We love Ryan more with each passing day and are amazed at his ability (and your fortitude) to overcome every obstacle on his path to recovery. Big hugs and prayers to you all today <3
I hope and pray that A. Vantrease is not set free. He deserves so much more than he received in the first place.
I don’t know if you keep up on Morgantown news, but today on WBOY.com, there is another unfortunate story that is entirely too close to Ryan’s story. Police found a young man unconscious & unresponsive on the ground & a group of men (I use this term VERY lightly) were arrested. The victim is listed in critical condition.
These incidents have to stop!
My heart goes out to your entire family & the family of this new victim of a senseless beating.
Praying for Ryan and family. I pray that God has complete control over the parole of Austin Vantrease.
I am devastated for you and Ryan when I look at these photos. No one should have to go through this. I am so sorry.
I’m at a loss for words. As cliche as that may sound, it is true. I hate this for you.
Prayers, as always,
carla & family
Ken,

I wish I had more to say. Please know that prayers continue for Ryan and your family.
