We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Kari Diviney View

My name is Brandon Treen, I’m a WVU Alumnus that attended from 2003-2008. After graduation my first job was working for a company in Morgantown (where I stayed until 2010) so I was well aware of the outrageous and horrible attack on your son as it was well publicized here. Austin Vantrease Parole Petition

October 7, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 11 Comments

Before I get to the topic of today’s post, I want to give an update on Ryan. We were able to get another look at Ryan’s surgical incisions last night. They are healing nicely, with just a couple tiny spots of blood on the bandages. The incision is scabbing nicely. There’s no seepage, foul odor, […]

Baclofen Catheter Surgery

It’s good being home. No. It’s GREAT being home. Ryan was discharged from Children’s Hospital (Washington, D.C.) mid-day yesterday and we were home early that afternoon. Without delay, I had him doing passive exercises on the ActivCycle peddler to get any stiffness out from a day-and-a-half spent in bed. Ryan did quite well on it […]

Hospital Discharge Expected Today

Ryan Diviney has Baclofen Pump Removed

No complications cropped up over night (Yippee!), meaning Ryan is scheduled for discharge at noon today. That’s not to say Ryan had a good night. He didn’t. He was in discomfort that waxed and waned in direct correlation to the pain medication’s schedule. I will say, to my surprise, he isn’t moaning any longer. This […]

Surgery Today: Evening, Part 4

Baclofen Pump Bandage

It’s wonderful that Ryan has this surgery behind him, but the discomfort he is feeling is obvious. Even with a some heavy-duty pain killers. He’s moaning with almost every breath he exhales.
