We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Koons Partnership Video: A Story of Hope and Devotion

January 1, 2013 by Ryan's Rally LLC 13 Comments

Koons Automotive, the wonderful organization who donated the handicap van to Ryan, put together an amazing video that I thought you would enjoy. It is so touching. Heartfelt, actually. I decided to wait until today, the first day of the new year, to show it to you. I couldn’t think of any better way to start 2013.

For me, this year has so much potential. With the van it opens up the world. Above all, I want to find some inexpensive (or donated) local office space and “go to work” with Ryan. It will be good for both of us if I can make this happen. In some ways, I envision this space as a hybrid “Election Headquarters” and consulting services. A formal place where peripheral activity is centralized and managed. An area where Ryan receives therapy. A quiet space to work on projects with the assistance of knowledgeable people. Maybe I can even get around to writing that book that everyone tells me I should? It will allow us to give back to society in a big way. We have so much to offer. So much knowledge. So much!

I just need affordable/free space to get the ball rolling.

Okay, back to the video, titled A Story of Hope and Devotion: The Diviney Family, is just under four-and-a-half minutes long. I’ve probably watched it two dozen times. That’s how much I love it!

    Dear Divineys,
There are no words that can truly express the emotions felt while watching this video.
Your family continues to remind each one of us of the immeasurable value of family.
The love, dedication, commitment, and joy in being in each others presence is inspiring.
May every mother, father, husband, wife, brother, and sister rise up to the role model you have set before us.
May your family be blessed beyond measure for sharing your life with the world.
    Jane

My heart, my heart, my heart…. all I can see through my tears is indisputable GOODNESS, HOPE AND LOVE-within every single moment of this video. There is undoubtedly a brilliant light surrounding RYAN and the entire Diviney Family and this video captures that light from all sides.

Thank you KOONS Automotive for seeing that light and for grabbing hold. THANK YOU.

AND Ken, Sue and Kari, THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR RYAN AND YOURSELVES WITH EACH OF US… we cannot help but be better people as a result.

With love and ALWAYS IN PRAYER for YOUR RYAN and FAMILY,
Keri, My C.F. Frankie and Family

Simply wonderful. Tip of the hat to Koons for “doing the right thing.” It’s not so hard. I wish more people could. Thank you Koons for giving something so meaningful and important to this wonderful family.

Wow, I don’t think any human can watch that without tears. What a kind and generous donation from Koons. Nice to know there are still caring local companies! Glad Ryan can get out of the house.

Wonderful video. This brought tears to my eyes. I am finally sending my “Thank You” note off to Krystal Koons and the Koons Automotive group for their amazong donation. It is unbelievable that they were the only company to respond to Kari’s letter. They will be the only ones getting our business in the future! Way to go Koons! Posting this on my Facebook and Pintrest for others to see!

Ken, I’m a tearful mess — but in a good way!! Just seeing the love and hearing the laughter — in the midst of the pain, there is determination, kindness, compassion and hope!! And lots and lots of love.

Again, to Krystal Koons and Koons Ford — this Christmas, you made a miracle happen for a truly special family. I am ever in your debt with gratitude! For all that you have given, in return may you be blessed with abundant health, happiness and joy.

Ken, Sue, Ryan and Kari — may 2013 open wide the doors of opportunity, progress, and success — and all the happiness you so richly deserve.

Keeping you in my prayers and in my heart, today, every day.
    Love & hugs, Paula

Lord, help me live from day to day,
    In such a self-forgetful way,
That even when I kneel to pray,
My prayer will be for others.

This old hymn, Others, by Charles Meigs, has long been a favorite of mine. The words remind me so much of our unselfish Team Diviney and now Koons Automotive. Thank you so much for sharing. I am right behind you with my 3rd viewing so far! 🙂

Wishing everyone the gift of faith, the blessing of hope and the Peace of our Lord.
