We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Exercise Table Arrives: It was a Battle

May 3, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 6 Comments

November 2010

It took all of 5 months of not backing down (no thanks to Capital Home Health Care). There were hours spent on the phone. Yesterday, all the pushing and complaining paid off. We dug in our heels on this, like everything.

Ain’t She a Beauty?

In the end, it finally arrived. Ah, that new exercise table smell… Speaking of Capital Home Health Care

I’ve wondered since we received the results of the qEEG if CHHC is feeling a bit foolish about discharging Ryan. Now, I truly believe Ryan’s case was stopped because I hurt someone’s feelings when I complained about their employees not being qualified to assess cognitive function. Further, I pushed for explanation on them deceiving me (trying to pin everything on insurance) with the reduction in visits. Anyhow, the last word I heard from them is they are quite suited to do this assessment and this is the reason.

Ha!

So, there appears to be some disagreement between CHHC therapists and a team of neurologists on Ryan’s recovery.

Who to believe?

I think I’ll go with the professionals who were trained for over a decade and disregard CHHC who went to a weekend class (I presume).

So glad your table finally arrived. I agree on whose opinion to trust when it comes to insurance conflicts.
    Praying always for you all.

I’m just hoping the table is easier on YOU too Ken! The more energy we save you, the better things are for Ryan!

Congratulations on getting the exercise table!! It is troubling to me that it required so much time, energy and effort on your part (as usual) to get something that should have been approved much quicker but — you got it done! You know, I was searching for some home health care for my parents and others I know, and I saw what looked to be a lovely ad for a home health care firm. Then I saw the name — whew, I’m so glad I know now where to go and where not to go — what company to refer people to and what company not to. I’m very sorry Ryan had to suffer for myself and others to obtain that knowledge though. It’s so disturbing to me. I’m still wondering how to proceed — what kinds of complaints to file and to whom. Then again, would we really want any firm or person helping Ryan whose heart wasn’t 100% into it? No — not at all. It will be much better for Ryan to have genuinely caring, competent professionals to work with him and assist him as he continues to heal. Take heed, all who read this, and understand — not all who are in the business of providing help and caring actually have the genuine commitment to do so. Sending love and prayers, as always — Paula

I am happy you have the exercise table and the space to place it. It will really be great for both Ryan and you! How much easier would it be for us if we did not have to fight for what is an obvious need?
