Please watch this video from just last night, especially the closing 20 seconds. We might disagree or take offense to other’s comments (me included… I was diverted from one yesterday), but this is what’s important… namely, Ryan.
"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Thats really amazing, I’d like to know what this means from a clinical or IBRF perspective. Can there be any doubt that Ryan is showing improvement and can we help him even more? We still believe in the Divineys, keep fighting, you all keep that head and your chins up!
Vanessa says
Thank you Lord for that video.
Almighty God, our Father, you made this young man and you were there with him from conception until now. Lord, I know you are answering prayer. Thank you Lord for these wonderful miracles that are brought about by your Grace and the hard work of the family and caregivers. And I thank you Lord most of all that the ultimate miracle WILL be taped and we will rejoice in renewed knowledge of Your soveignty and power. Thank you Lord so much for this and thank you for this family, and for the young man who now belongs to all of us – In Jesus’ Precious name, AMEN! Thank you family for sharing. The miracles will explode all over when Ryan’s is manifested in its fullest! Thank you Lord!

Here I am again, in my bi-focles 6 inches from the monitor watching you, Ryan! You are working so hard, and we are so very proud of you, but I know, hard work is not new to you since you have been doing just that most of your life. What role models your mom and dad are! You and Kari are truly blessed to have parents such as yours. The distance you have come is nothing short of amazing — just amazing! I could write all day about where you have been for almost two and a half years and where you are now, but I promised to shorten my little essays here. LOL. One of these days, we will spend a day talking together — all of us. That will be grand! Love, prayers and thanksgiving for our Easter miracle — you.

How can anyone watch that and not realize Ryan is truly making progress? No doubt about it, that last head turn was VERY intentional!

I don’t know where the heck my post that I just wrote went — off into Cyberland, I suppose.
Let me just say, “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!” I am clapping for you, Ryan, and you deserve applause and recognition for all your hard work. Love and prayers, hope and faith. SHSP, NGA
Thanks be to God, Ryan’s devoted family, and his supportive friends at Ryan’s Rally.

Absolutely amazing! Thank you for this! It is amazing what the brain can do and another great story of how the brain can heal. Just this last week I have heard of a young man who came in 11 days after Jonathan… also with a severe TBI and he said Mom for the first time… and that of another young man who is two years out and he possibly said his first word… Ryan looks fabulous and my first thought was how much he looks like SUE! There is always hope. Never give up.

This is so exciting, I don’t know if any of us will be able to sleep tonight! Ryan, you are a joy, and we are so grateful to God for your continuing recovery. Thank you, Ken, for sharing this video with us. What a thrill to see Ryan follow your directions! This made our day. You are always on my mind. Love and prayers, hope and faith. SHSP and thanking God for Ryan’s excellent progress.

It’s awesome to see Ryan responding to verbal commands! It’s amazing progress to witness thru video! I can just imagine how hard he is fighting on the inside to make his body work on the outside. I’m curious, do you think this has anything to do with the Baclofen reductions?? I’m just wondering if you believe he is now experiencing better comprehension due to the reduction of the drug. If so… I can’t wait for the next scheduled reduction! Way to go Ryan!!

Way to go Ryan! Keep up the fantastic work!!!

I may be wrong, but it looks to me as though I see Ryan attempting to smile a bit when he’s looking towards his Daddy. Maybe I’m hoping too hard, but I really saw some changes in expression that were remarkable to me. I know that I’ve only seen Ryan via videos, but I really took notice of his mouth especially & “Wow!” is all I can say. He is really making some strides now- thanks to his wonderful parents, who have devoted their lives to Ryan & his recovery. I honestly don’t know how you do it.

Awesome, it’s amazing how little everything else means when you see something like this – I love the videos and pictures of Ryan – Ken and Sue, you are amazing parents, I never once doubted where one penny goes when it comes to donations for Ryan. I will continue to do what I can when I can, but always know that it’s because of your love and devotion that Ryan makes this kind of progress. Congratulations to all of you for every little step means there’s hope! Great job Ryan!!
