Ryan was given more morphine and settled down after the last dose wore off. We continue to wait in the E.R. for the orthopedic to check in. He obviously doesn’t share our urgency to get Ryan comfortably situated. I’m starting to make some noise about this, and my volume continues to rise as time passes.
Ryan will go in for surgery in the morning, this much we know. How do we know? Because the orthopedic told someone, who told someone else. Remember, we’ve seen hide nor hair of him yet. So, we still haven’t consulted on the exact surgical solution. For now and overnight, his leg will remain in traction.
I’ll let you know when Ryan makes his way to his room.

Hi Ken, obviously we’re all upset and can’t get you all off of our minds — thank goodness Ryan’s painc can be managed. Waiting, waiting, waiting…when our loved one needs help, why does it seem the people we’re depending on don’t share our urgency??
Praying for you dear Ken, and Ryan and Sue and Kari. Thank you so much for keeping us updated on what’s happening, we appreciate it so much.
Please let us know what you need and how we can help!!
Love and prayers for healing and restoration, and many large hugs of the bear variety.

So sorry, Ken … hoping for a speedy recovery and that you can make the best of this bad situation with some tests that you wouldn’t normally have been able to run. You know we’re all thinking of you, Sue, Kari, and especially Ryan.
