I’m not really sure of what to make of the IBRF call yesterday. On one hand, they lead off with “not much has changed”. This is not good. On the other, they tell of measurements that show some progression. I’m doing my best to figure this out. It was very confusing.
Most notably, the qEEG (might have) showed two new things:
- Ryan can discern between “normal” audible tones and sounds that are “out of place”. If this is the case, there might be some sign that Ryan is regaining some cognition. Then again, there might not.
- “Ryan might be able to see more than we thought”. That was the quote from the doctor. Before we get too excited, this doesn’t mean he understands (or processes) what he sees. It only means the stimuli is reaching the cortex.
So, what can I conclude? Ryan is not getting worse. That’s for sure. In fact, he might still be healing. That’s not for sure. I guess I really don’t know much about anything, now that I think about it. It’s just so frustrating! Sue and I haven’t gotten together to discuss what we each took away from the call. Talking to her might help clarify information.
One thing I am doing is requesting another reduction in baclofen (from 175 to 155mcg). Ryan tolerated the last reduction well and I want to keep aggressively pushing forward. Another thing is I’m reopening the discussion to have the scar tissue remove from Ryan’s eyes. Hey, if he might be seeing “more than we thought” than I am compelled to remove any obstacle that might slow recovery.

From what I read and understand I believe Ryan is healing and I give thanks to God. My prayers continue for Ryan’s healing and God’s strength to his family. Ryan is a Blessing to all of us.

Hello Ken,
Good news that’s Ryan’s vision might be better than previously thought! Would love to see that surgery done for him. Hopefully improving his vision would help increase his mental processing of all things around him.
I also believe the same about voices that Ryan recognizes! Old friends, family members, neighbors — it is believed that hearing these voices can be quite helpful in triggering memories.
When you have the time, I hope we can learn more about the IBRF’s interpretation of all that scientific data. You’re going to have to break it down for us, Ken.
It seems once again you made the right call with the baclofen reductions. Is your goal to hopefully wean Ryan from it altogether?
Wishing you and Ryan a peaceful day. Thinking of you both, and praying for renewed hope in your soul. I still have lots of hope!
Love, hugs, prayers

One of my favorite Emily Dickinson poems – about hope.
“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune–without the words,
And never stops at all”
Always here, always hoping, always believing.

do you think recording the conversation would help?

We both do… and it does help.

You are doing everything you possibly can for Ryan, and we feel your frustration that the healing process can be so slow and ambiguous… but it is happening, and we are keeping the faith that it will continue to its completion. In the meantime, it sure does make a lot of sense to keep communicating to Ryan as you, Sue and Kari do so lovingly all the time, and to have the scar tissue removed from his eyes to optimize his visual input. We pray that all obstacles will be removed from your path to promoting Ryan’s healing and awakening. We remain with you all every step of the way! Much love always <3

Any mention of the 3-D model?

Yes. It was received and also sent to us. Everyone is still interpreting it.

Held my breath and prayed while reading this. We will never give up hope, and dear, sweet Kenneth — intuitive, and always questioning, I know what I know, and that’s is enough — for now. Fervently praying that the Baclofen reduction will be a good thing, a gift even, for Christmas. Praying and loving you all more with each passing day, and hoping for all good things for Ryan. May peace and joy come to you and remain!
Jo says
that is enough — truly — for now!

From your very own intelligent and intuitive words…”So, what can I conclude? Ryan is not getting worse. ” Which means that, HOPE is still alive and well… and with HOPE so much can be obtained. HOPE keeps our hearts and our minds clearly open and ready to see the most minute advances, which can ultimately lead us to the most significant successes. I BELIEVE in YOU KEN. I BELIEVE in the DIVINEY family. I BELIEVE in RYAN. I BELIEVE in LOVE. I BELIEVE in HOPE. So even if at this moment you cannot, I will BELIEVE for you.
With so much love & continued prayer on behalf of Ryan & all of the Diviney’s ….

HOPE LIVES and THEREFORE RYAN LIVES.

well, sounds more positive than you seemed to preparing yourself for. Keep talking to Ryan…..if he responds to normal audible tones, let him know you’re there by his side. (I know you do…)
