It looks like near-perfect weather is on tap for the Ryan Diviney Day Festival today. I checked the local forecast and it will be in the mid to upper-eighties with sunny, blue skies. The event is being held at Broadlands Village Center (43150 Broadlands Center Plaza, Ashburn, VA), beginning at noon and ending at 5:00PM.
The Porsche Club of America, Potomac Region, is holding a car show. It sounds like there will be many makes and models represented. So, grab a ballot and vote for your favorite antique or new Porsche! Safeway is holding a wine tasting tent with cheese & crackers.
The event is set-up for kids as well as adults. They can jump on the moon bounces, grab a flavored snow cone or cotton candy, and even swing by the carnival games to win fun prizes! The venue is wonderful! I sure hope you make it out this afternoon.

Donations: Olive Garden, Greene Turtle, Blue Ridge Grill, Red Hot & Blue Restaurant, TGI Fridays, All-American Steakhouse, Gary Filak, Barlow Family, Regal, & Prestigious Tan.
On a very personal level, we are sincerely thankful for this event being held on Ryan’s behalf. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is expensive and your support is so greatly appreciated. To see the community come together like this, time-after-time, means so much. It buckles me at my knees sometimes when I think about it.
Thank you for keeping Ryan relevant! It is true, Ryan is in the best possible condition (given the circumstances) because people care. Thank you for surrounding Ryan and my family we love, resources, and compassion.

If it weren’t for the fact that I live in upstate NY I would have been there. So I celebrate in spirit. I continue to pray for Ryan’s recovery every day. I dedicate all that I do each day to our Lord in Ryan’s name.
We were out of town this weekend and so very sorry to miss the festival. Glad to hear it was a great success! Awesome job, Gloria!! LOVE hearing about how often Ryan’s name was mentioned and what a great community we live in.
WOW, what a day. We had 46 antique cars, you name it they were there. They started arriving at 11:45 and filled up the parking lot by 12:30. They all made donations to have their cars in the line-up. I am so happy to tell you that the day was a big success. I would like to give a “shout out” to Ron Davis, his co-pilot (his wife), and his wing-woman & wing-man (daugher and son-in-law). Without them none of this would have happened. To Angelique Sparrow, who worked very hard to make it all come together, to all of the car owners, who drove from all over Northern Virginia and sat in the blasted heat for nearly four hours showing off their “babies”. A big thank you to all of the businesses that made donations. It was very special to have Sue and her folks at the event. Sue you are truly a delight and your folks are the best. Back to the car show, the winners were selected at 3:30 and the cars started pulling away by 3:45. It was just to hot on that black top to sit any longer. Sorry Kristin that you missed the fun. There were some wonderful people there today! Again, thank you to everyone that pitched in.
Ken, we are sorry that we didn’t get to see you, but we all know how important your mission is. I want you to know that Ryan’s name must have been mentioned at least one thousand times today. Each time his name was mentioned, another person heard his story and that person will tell his story to someone else, and so the circle grows. I understand you have night duty, I hope you get a couple of winks! We all hope Ryan has a good night and a better tomorrow.
