We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Where was I?

June 24, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 8 Comments

Seriously! It’s been one of those morning where, no matter how hard I try, my attention keeps getting diverted. I must have sat down at my computer a dozen times to write today’s post. I bet I even had a few good topics that have since escaped my limited memory.

From Ryan’s care, we’re actually ahead of schedule. Quite a bit, at that. I bounced him out of bed around 6:00 AM and went right into his therapies.

My phone was ringing all morning before nine o’clock. So far I have received calls from:

  1. Physical Therapist
  2. Occupational Therapist
  3. Sears Delivery (replacing our washing machine)
  4. Baclofen Pump Technician (Schedule for next Thursday, June 30)

This is all good stuff, mind you. Still there is no denying it that it completely throws me off. I spend at least ten minutes trying to remember what I meant to do twenty minutes ago. Oh, and the dogs are so fuddruckin’ needy this morning. I swear they have a secret stash of water somewhere they keep drinking it — because they’re not drinking it from their bowl — just to see how many times I’ll take them out before just letting them pee all over the house. Dogs!

How can I deny those faces?

I finally feel like things have smoothed out for me. Hold on… doorbell!

Sure, Duke and Tucker look pretty darn cute and innocent but we know they’re guys too, so I can’t help wondering what sort of fun things they’re planning to do with you and Ryan while the girls are away for the weekend… Post an “after” photo for us 🙂

Hello Ken!! Was not a dog lover til I met Duke — and now — what can I say, Duke had me at “woof.” I might say the same about Tucker but he seems to hide somewhere — probably downstairs in the soon to be mancave.

Hope you, Ryan, Duke and Tucker enjoy a nice Friday together and get a chance to rest later on.

As Rebecca Black would say, “It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday!!” Yeah right, Rebecca — we’re gonna get down alright … down to the fridge and down to the couch to take a nap…

    Love & prayers, Ken!!

Ken, Your post reminds me of the country song about Mr. Mom,…..Pampers melt in a Maytag dryer
Crayons go up one drawer higher
Rewind Barney for the fifteenth time
    Breakfast, six naps at nine
There’s bubble gum in the baby’s hair
Sweet potatoes in my lazy chair
Been crazy all day long and it’s only Monday
Mr. Mom……Ken you should write your OWN song to this tune…
