I am running sooooooo far behind today (nothing bad caused it, just one of those days). Please give me some time to get back on schedule and I’ll post later in the day. In the meantime, please check out the “Store” I added. It is an amazon.com affiliate program that pays a fee for purchases through Ryan’s Rally. You don’t even leave our website to use it. It’s up-and-running, and I will continue to enhance it. Still, it does everything you should need now.
I also added some advertising in the sidebars that does the same. One shows items I think are cool (on left) and the other let’s you buy MP3 music (on right).
I am doing new things to see if there are creative ways to provide for Ryan’s care. I wish I were better at marketing, but the best I can come up with is to just ask you give it a try. For those who already use Amazon, this is really a perfect fit. It cost no more than shopping directly on their site and products are almost always less expensive (from our personal use in the past).

I was you who made me aware!

Amazon is a great site! I plan to spread the word for college students to purchase their textbooks cheaper on Amazon once they have the ISBN # of the book. I always get my kids text books for college from Amazon, and also you can sell your books via Amazon. Maybe we can get some press coverage for this before the fall semester starts so the word gets out to the WVU community.

I think the idea is perfect, Ken. You provide something that so… many of us use anyway. Amazon! It gives me incentive to get those books I’ve wanting to get for homeschooling. 🙂
I also like the idea of your posting a wish list. I know that’s not easy, but let’s face it, we like helping you and your awesome family! Giving us some direction just makes it easier for us to do it! 🙂
Lots of love, Cass

Use Amazon often….especially for Kindle. I can buy the gift cards and use to buy to e-books. Hope it helps bring in some much needed funds for Ryan.

Ken, this “store” idea may be your best fund raising idea yet! That is very cool that Amazon does this type of thing. I’ll be using it this week for something I was going to buy from Amazon.com anyway and it’ll help raise money for Ryan. An all-around winner in my book. Brilliant!

I am really happy that people seem to like it. I hope it becomes a success and helps Ryan’s care.
Dianne says
Great way to load up my Kindle with e-books!! Looking forward to hearing more news about Ryan later today. My thoughts & prayers are with both of you. 🙂
Lorraine says
You can also create an Amazon wishlist for items you or Ryan need. Something else to consider? Hugs to all!

Great idea, Lorraine!!

I’m just wondering how that would make me look. Thoughts?

Answer: Like a wonderful Dad who loves his son and would go to the ends of the earth for him…

Ken,
Another viewpoint; many who like to give something tangible this is a wonderful idea. Some for whatever reason don’t feel that a small donation makes a difference (though any of us that have been in need, no how far from the truth that is). What about Amazon giving you a percentage of any of the items that you post on your site? Should be worth a call at least. Hugs to you and Sue~

From an artist’s viewpoint, the Amazon features really add a nice touch of color to the site!
From the viewpoint of an Amazon.com addict who has over 600 items on their wish list, thanks for fueling my addiction 😀

Ken,
It is fine to take care of yourself too!
So, give us your list! And Ryan’s as well! :o)

Ms. Blase, I think your socks should be added to Ken’s list!
