Infrared Helmet Therapy
Currently, Ryan spends 30 minutes under the infrared therapy helmet daily. Beginning Monday this will increase to one-hour, consisting of two 30 minute sessions. The extra session will target his frontal lobes. The frontal lobes are associated with reasoning, planning, parts of speech, movement, emotions, and problem solving. Essentially, higher-level human functions.
What I’ll likely do is give one session in the morning and the other in the evening. That is, unless I hear compelling reason to put them back-to-back. So far, of the little research that now exists, there is no recommendation either way. We’re blazing new trails here, folks.
Rotary Event: Saturday
Tomorrow evening, beginning at 6:00 PM, is the long-awaited Rotary Club of Ashburn Spring Gala for Ryan. It’s a somewhat upscale (semi formal) event that includes:
- Cocktails
- Hors D’ Oeuvres
- Silent Auction
- Three Course Dinner
- Music and Entertainment
You can get more information, and even register to secure a seat, by visiting the Rotary Club of Ashburn website.
Spider-Plant Reviews:
I love that people enjoyed it and had a good laugh. I had fun doing it. It’s healing to laugh at oneself from time-to-time. I’ve learned a ton through this whole ordeal. I’ve changes a ton too, in regard to my public persona. I use to have two-faces (private and public), but now they have blended into one. For what is worth, it now favors my private face.
I can draw that face if you want. 🙂

I had a Stroke 18mths ago and have been considering going for treatment in USA using Dr Gordon Dougals infared helmet with Dr Marvin Berman. Do you know if there is any difference in Dr Dougals Helmet to the one you are using from Emeresonworldwide? It would be alot easier for me to buy a helmet from emerson than travel to a different country for 2-3weeks treatment. Dr Berman says the helmets are not even close to each other and basically they shouldnt be selling them as Dr Dougal has a patent on his. How did you do your research on the hemet and what helped make your decision to by the emerson helmet? I am struggling with what to do any help would be appriciated thankyou.

Okay Ken, we are all dying to know what you are going to do during that extra 30 minute session you have Ryan scheduled for. Maybe more videos and stick figures? Awesome, hoping this makes even a bigger different for Ry!

Please draw the face, Ken!! We would love to see it!! I’m not big into dress up affairs, but for our boy, I’ll do it!! Plus, it will be an honor to spend time with the fantastic people of the Rotary Club!! If they are willing to help Ryan, they are my kinda people, legit. Praying for you and your family to have a smooth weekend and for continued healing for Ryan. Also, thank you for the informative diagrams and illustrations you often provide when describing Ryan’s treatment. It’s fascinating and I’m sure for many people, very helpful. As far as public/private persona — being real in an era when facades seem to be in fashion is very refreshing — one of my favorite statements to folks around here is that I’m still keepin it real in Ashburn — or trying to lol. Love & prayers, Paula
