We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Video: Simulating Walking

June 30, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 20 Comments

Medicine (baclofen) is delivered directly in the spinal column, thus eliminating the common issue of a drugs ineffectiveness of passing through the blood-brain barrier — […]

Payday!

June 29, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 14 Comments

Yesterday I received a check ($144.18) in the mail from an advertising sponsor I use on this website. Given, it’s not like hitting the lottery (considering no taxes were withheld too), but it is money that will be directed to Ryan’s care and treatment. I know it’s silly — maybe even bordering on lame — […]

Foregone Future

June 28, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 24 Comments

This past Saturday Sue and Kari attended the wedding of our nephew. We were all invited, but there was no way that we would leave Ryan. So I stayed with him. It just made sense since it was Sue’s side of the family. All day Sue was calling me. She would tell me how beautiful […]

Respiratory Concerns: Diagnosis

June 27, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 13 Comments

I just heard back from Dr. Rodriguez’s office. Bad news. But, not awful. Ryan’s white blood cells are high at 12.5 (normal is below 10.0). This means an infection is brewing. I seem to have caught it early enough to begin treatment at home. Only time will tell.
