14 Months
Written 1/8/2011. Yesterday marked the fourteenth month anniversary of the brutal beating at the hands (and feet) of Austin Vantrease and Jonathan May. The 7th of each month is always especially difficult for me, even though I know it’s coming.
A Good Day
The last time I had Ryan in the improvised standing frame was the week before Christmas. He was miserable. His pulse was around 170. His respiration was fast and shallow. It was a disaster.
Leg in Spasm for Hours
Something was bothering Ryan all morning yesterday. Even now, I can’t determine a cause. He sat with his left leg completely straightened-out in spasm. His thigh muscle (quad) was working so hard I could feel the heat through his pants from the energy the muscle was burning. He sat like this for hours and hours.
