"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Ryan is up everyday by 6:30 AM at the latest. We return him to bed around 9:00PM — after his shower — for some routine care and non-PT therapies. We quiet his room around 10:30 PM.
On weekdays, Ryan spends at least eight hours receiving various forms of PT. Weekends are less intense and typically last six hours. I also consider breaks/rest as a critical form of therapy and schedule these periodically throughout the day.
