We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

A Day of Organizing: Home and Away

May 26, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 12 Comments

It’s not much longer until Kari and I jump in the Jeep and head off to Morgantown for the day. We’re going there to spend the day setting up her new place. She moved from her last place for several reasons, not least of which is cost. Yes, this place is less expensive but it is also much smaller.

My plan is work hard until tonight to get the place in order. It’s my hope that we will have time and not be too exhausted so that we can go out for a nice dinner on the town. I think we both deserve this. I love the restaurants and bars in Morgantown, so we might just need to do some hopping and see where we land. If you are in Morgantown and think you might be downtown tonight please look for us. AThe more, the merrier!

Meanwhile, back on the home front, Sue is having some women (who I affectionately call “Sue’s Prudes”) over to help clean and organize. I graciously waived the “scantily clad” clothing rule — see yesterday’s post — and will delay its grand opening until tomorrow afternoon. Mainly because I don’t want to miss anything. Anyhow, the official start time will be 2:00 PM. After that I’m afraid it must be strictly enforced, otherwise anarchy will ensue. I can’t have that!

So, I’ll keep it short today so that I can pack-up the car and search for normal clothes to wear.

Wow! Never expected to see you here this early! Just checking in to see what is going on with friends and relatives around the country, and here you are, too. Morgantown with Kari is good — very good. A little break for you and real Dad time for Kari. Hooray! I know you will drive carefully on the congested roads that seem to worsen daily. Weekend traffic around here is unbelievable. We were out and about last night. Rt. 301 was bumper to bumper, but the steamed crabs were well worth the frustration once we got there. Hope you find a restaurant with some good food tonight. Yes, you and Kari deserve it!

Wish I could join Sue’s (not)Prudes (LOL), but lots of food prep today for big reunion of family and a few neighbors, so must hang here. Still plan to do this at your house one day to celebrate Ryan’s recovery.

Always here with much love and prayers. 🙂

Ahem… it’s “Sue’s Crew”. Have fun with Kari in Morgantown, and don’t cause any incidents.
