Last Friday (May 30, 2014) I was invited on to radio station WAJR, hosted by Kay Murray & Jim Stallings. This is the flagship station of West Virginia and even reaches into adjoining states. I had the audio sent to me and you can listen to it below.
One important editorial comment: At one point in the interview I stated that ⅓ of Ryan’s brain was removed; this is wrong! What I meant to say is ⅓ of his skull was removed. This is a procedure known as a ‘decompressive craniectomy” and is common in people who suffered TBI (traumatic brain injury).
Decompressive craniectomy is a neurosurgical procedure in which part of the skull is removed to allow a swelling brain room to expand without being squeezed. It is performed on victims of traumatic brain injury and stroke. [Source: Wikipedia]
KEN DIVINEY INTERVIEW, WAJR, FRI., 05-30-2014
This interview is also available in the News section of this website.
Lies! Outright and bald-faced! The criminal contingent claimed Ryan was “high” on the night he was attacked. Two things about this: 1) He wasn’t, 2) So what if he would have been anyhow? See the OFFICIAL FORENSIC LAB RESULTS for yourself… the interview will not be interrupted as you do.

You did a great job Ken, don’t ever feel like you failed Ryan you sure didn’t. I pray for Ryan and your Family daily from CT <3 <3
Josh says
Nice try at “character assassination” from a bunch of failed human beings. As if Ryan smoking pot would somehow justify what happened to him. And then the lab results come back negative for everything anyway. What an assemblage of worthless creeps. On a more positive note, I enjoyed listening to your radio interview. Best to Ryan and the rest of your family.

This interview was wonderful Ken!!! So glad to hear your sense of humor in this tragedy. And just so you know, you have not failed Ryan not one bit by keeping him relevant. I know I think of him often and I’m pretty new to the sight. Give Ryan a squeeze for me.
Tony says
Hi Ken. I couldn’t open the link to listen to the interview but did read the article on the news site. Nice interview and very kind comments about the people in Morgantown. Hope Ryan is doing OK.
Rita says
Great interview, Ken. Ryan will always be relevant throughout the Virginias and way beyond. He couldn’t have a better voice than his devoted dad’s… All of you Divineys are incredible. Oh, and I love all of the family photos on the Ryan’s Rally Facebook page!
Anna says
Great interview. How nice it is to hear the hosts opinions of the Vantrease family. They are no relation to you or Ryan, and are outraged by this family’s behavior. I wonder if they will ever get it. Always thinking of you
Ryan's Rally LLC says
Probably because the station covered the criminal trial and they witnessed it firsthand.
Kathy Diviney Wilkinson says
Thank You for sharing so openly. I literally got chill bumps listening to Ryan’s story. This is certainly very heartbreaking and there was not one reason for him to be attacked.
Caitlin Bennett says
Ken, this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for being so strong and for letting us into your heart.
