We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

This Weekend

September 13, 2013 by Ryan's Rally LLC 9 Comments

Two exciting things are happening here this weekend.

Deck Project

The deck project began! It actually started yesterday. By the end of the day the great people at Blue Moon Construction had the basic framing almost complete. Without this top-notch company, this deck would not be possible. The project will be built in two phases. The current one is the main portion of the deck. Then, without a break, the next phase begins. This is the one that will provide access from the patio/driveway with ramping. It will level-off and provide a platform for the hot tub so that we can begin using it for Ryan once we raise enough money to buy the lift.

Note: As of this morning, $2,655 has been donated to purchase the lift (goal is $4,500). If you wish to make a donation, it’s easy. Just click on the “Donate” button under the One-time Online Donation in the upper-right sidebar of this page.

It’s possible that this all could be wrapped-up late next week. Here’s hoping for sunny days!

Visiting Kari at WVU

Later today I am taking off to Morgantown, WV to visit my daughter for the weekend at West Virginia University. I can’t wait to see her! We were given suite tickets to the football game tomorrow by a person who has been so generous to us. So, I suspect we’ll be up early enough (for the noon kickoff) to get in some serious tailgating before heading into the stadium.

I love that Kari and I have such a wonderful relationship. We always have such an incredibly fun time when we’re together. I love that she now considers me her friend, as well as her dad. I just couldn’t be any better than that!

I can hear the Mountaineers cheering now and John Denver singing to the crowd. Only been to one home game ever, but how fun are they? Have a great weekend, couldn’t have better game weather, crisp and cool.

Ken, It’s so incredibly Easy for Anyone to Donate…I was pleased that a choice was using PayPal which everyone knows is a secure site. What a better way to pitch in a small or large donation. I received a receipt automatically. It’s a win/win since I’m sure every bit helps and since Tax Season isn’t far around the corner, donations can possibly be a deduction.

Have a Fantastic Weekend with Kari!!
