We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Video: Abdominal Stimulation Therapy

November 29, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 13 Comments

We are so excited about a new therapy that Ryan started. It uses electrical stimulation to engage abdominal muscles, adding much-needed strength to his core. Even after just a week-and-a-half, the results are starting to show. It’s not so much in his stomach’s appearance yet, but he is clearly sitting taller in his chair. This will bring him comfort and take the stress off his back. I also notice his coughs are more powerful.

Here the thing you should know… this is possible because of you. We used your donations to buy it! I hope you see just how much you help my son. Not only in keeping him healthy and strong, but also in the new groundbreaking therapies for the brain injured. We are cutting edge… because you make it possible. You give me the resources to make a difference. Through me, you redefine how brain injury is treated.

The wonderful thing is this works with the RT-300 FES Leg/Arm Cycle (again, through your donations). In two weeks — after Ryan’s stomach muscles are “conditioned” — both components will be synchronized and used together; as a system. The abdominal muscles will support the extremities as he peddles!

I ‘ll definitely put out a video when he begins this!

Holiday Cards

Time is running short to get on our holiday card mailing list! This weekend is when they start going out. I want to thank the hundreds of people who already signed-up. It makes it so much more accurate and easier to manage.

I know I sound like a broken record. So, again, we are sending out cards this holiday season. We started this last year, but quickly realized we didn’t have addresses for everyone; like those who donated through PayPal, U.S. Mail, drop-offs, meals, or the Wish List, to name a few.

I know how humble everyone is, but if you didn’t get a card last year or helped Ryan through online contributions, would you please do this? It would mean a lot to me and my family to send you a card. If not for you, would you do it for us? It would be a huge time-saver. I know it’s not much compared to all you did, but it’s something we really want to do. My daughter, Kari, designed it and we’re excited to do this.

You know what? Even if you got one before, would you please fill out the form below… just to be safe?

Just click fill out the simple form below and click the “sign up” button. If you’re not sure if you’ve done this already, then do it again. It’ll simply overwrite (or update) what might already be there.

Thank you. I have some big plans for the website (and Ryan’s Rally brand) and this platform works best.

Hi Ken, I tried to leave a post earlier, not sure what I did, but it didn’t work.

Anywho — I’m fascinated and excited about this groundbreaking step you’re taking with Ryan — his physical condition continues to strengthen and progress — he looks sooo good!! It is a wonderful feeling to be part of Team Diviney and all it entails — but most of all — having the opportunity to watch as you, Sue and Kari help Ryan heal. Blessings come in many forms, and your family is a blessing beyond measure.

Sending you love and hugs, hoping the sunshine is pouring into your home and filling it with light!

Omigosh! I need one of these to eliminate all those crunches! (oh, my aching back!)! Very impressive and can’t wait to see results on those abs, although they are looking pretty good as they are. Can’t wait, too, to see how many volunteer pierching/tattoo artists are going to write in to volunteer their services LOL! All that skin and nary a tattoo! Oh my!
