Prof. Daniel Brewster, Co-organizer
Last night a benefit event was held at the Dragonfly in Morgantown, WV for Ryan. As you know, the nursing fiasco prevented me from attending, but early indications are that it was a success. I hope to get a recap of the night sometime soon. In the meantime, I’d like to share some media coverage from the 5K race over the past weekend. You can get to any of these through the Newsroom menu, but I’ll provide them all in this post for today. On a related topic, I was able to get an audio file of my radio interview with WAJR earlier in the week and will work on posting it to the website.
Here is the first bit of coverage. It aired on WDTV news on Monday, April 16th.
The next two news items ran in the local news. The first, Event Aims to Raise $10,000 to Benefit Former Student, ran in the West Virginia University Newspaper. The second, Ryan Diviney 5K Race & Dragonfly Benefit, is an online article from a popular local site, DubVLive.
Daniel Brewster fell in love with the Diviney’s right from the beginning and does so much to keep Ryan relevant. What a blessing for Ken and Sue that he’s there watching over Kari too!
MOTNC thinking of and praying for our boy.
Great job by the organizers. Could be the start of what might become an annual event. Looking forward to the radio interview. Thanks.
Thank you, Ken for keeping us out-of-towners updated. We are rooting for the success of every fundraiser. Love and prayers
Thank you Prof. Brewster!
Hello Ken,
Thank you for posting this video. It is so encouraging to see these fantastic college students, as well as the community of Morgantown, band together to support Ryan. Ryan really does have great taste in friends, and you can see how much they care about him. Thank you to all of the wonderful, caring souls who organized this great event, including Professor Brewster!!
Ken, you should have been able to be there and I’m very sorry that didn’t work out. I hope next time you will be able to participate. It’s great for people to be able to connect with Ryan’s Dad and see what a true hero looks like!!
Love, prayers, hugs, hope!!
