Let me get a few updates out of the way. First, the bed is fixed! Thank goodness. It was brought back to life yesterday morning. After me spending the entire morning on the phone with technical support on Friday and then another three hours yesterday by a repairman all it came down to was one bad cable. It was that simple.
Twenty-four hours later it is still working perfectly. By now I have run it through all the functions both to test then to actually use them on Ryan. It’s true in so many parts of life, you don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone.
Also of importance, Ryan’s baclofen was reduced again today from 60 mcg to 45 mcg. A twenty-five percent decrease! Last year at this time he was at 400 mcg, so he is at 11.25% since then. I already scheduled the next appointment for April 16th, pending no negative effects from this reduction. My plan is to take him to 30 mcg. Then… the following one will trial him off the medicine entirely!
Now, the most important thing is today is Sue’s birthday. Word is, she turns 29 again this year. If you’re out on Facebook and have the time it would be nice to send her a note. I tried to pull off the birthday celebration equals a birthday suit logic, but I think I just got myself in trouble.
Our girl Sue is the best! Here’s hoping your 29th birthday was as amazing as you! <3 ya Carla & family
Happy Happy Birthday! God Bless you!

Hi Ken,
That’s great news that you were able to get Ryan’s bed fixed so quickly! One less thing to worry about. I’m so happy (and relieved) to know that Ryan continues to tolerate the baclofen reductions well. I wonder if there are any other meds he may not need? He looks so wonderful, so whatever it is you’re doing, it’s working!
Wishing your beautiful wife a very Happy Birthday. You two hit the jackpot when you found each other. I wish you both and Ryan a nice day together, hopefully out in the sunshine at some point.
Sending Love, hugs, prayers for always…Paula
Happy Birthday, Sue. And many, many, more. 🙂
Hope she ends up giving you a “present” after all! 😀
