We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

A Quick Post

February 17, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 7 Comments

I wasn’t going to put out a post today. Mainly because I’m worn out. But I know people worry when I don’t. So, for today, just a quick one to let you know Ryan is doing well. He is almost at the seventy-two hour mark since his baclofen reduction, and I’m beginning to breathe a lot easier that there are no adverse effects.

On this upcoming Monday I’ll send in another reduction request. He’s at 96.1 mcg now so I’m thinking at least to 80 mcg. This will take place on the 28th of this month. At this time he will also get his pump drained and refilled with a lower concentration so that the pump doesn’t go so slowly that it freezes.

For me, I can’t wait to make it to this weekend when I can nap. I have every intention of sleeping both weekend afternoons. I need this in the worst way. I’m little more than a zombie, even with some periods of sleep last night. What can I say, thirty-six hour shifts can do that to a guy.

For today, how about using my laziness to snoop around the website. Jump over and take a gander at the events coming up. Maybe re-watch videos, check out the wish list, or read some press that you might have missed. Or, perhaps, just take a look at photos.

Hey Ken, it’s been a little while since I have last spoke to you. I just wanted to let you know that I have had you and Ryan on my mind a lot recently. Anyways, just wanted to let you know that I’m still up here thinking about you both.

    Dear Zombie Ken,

    Please go to bed.

    Sincerely,
    Ms. Blasé

P.S. – It’s always nice when a baclofen reduction goes off without a hitch. And it sounds like you’re holding down the fort pretty well, so that’s great. However, after reading this and the last post, even I’m looking forward to when you can finally get some shut-eye. Since you’ll be out like a light pretty soon, I’ll bid you farewell now: Buenas noches, Señor Ken, until you wake and post again!!!

Ken, I hope you are able to sleep as much as possible this weekend!!! Great suggestions for delving into the website — folks could easily miss new things if they’re not checking stuff out regularly.

Praying you and Ryan have a smooth day. Obviously you made the right call to start reducing the baclofen way back when. Ryan is very blessed to have such a smart and strong Dad — courageous, too.

    Prayers, love, hugs, hope
    Paula
