We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Ryan to get Blood Transfusion

January 30, 2012 by Ryan's Rally LLC 13 Comments

We made the decision to give Ryan two units of blood to get his body’s levels back to normal. With the stress of surgery, we felt it is to his advantage during recovery to have him feeling his best immediately. There no change in his discharge. We still expect to return home today. As wonderful as Reston Hospital is (except they might want to speed-up the E.R. Treatment time), there’s really no place like home. And, yes, I did just click my heels together like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.

Good decision, Ken — I’ve seen this done before and it does seem to improve things pretty quickly. Let us know how well it works for Ryan.

Things went so smoothly, and I know it is because you keep Ryan in such excellent shape. And even though he was in the hospital, Ryan knew you and Sue were there with him, just like always. He knows he can count on you.

Well, onward and upward! I feel like someone just lifted a ton of bricks off my shoulders.

God bless you, dear Ken, and Ryan, Sue and beautiful Kari too. The sun is shining, Ryan, and it shines for you!

Love, prayers and still keeping the faith!
