Ryan had a solid twenty-four hours and it appears he will be discharged home directly from ICU. I’m not sure when this will happen and there are a few loose ends that need tied up.
Chest x-rays and blood work were done overnight. His lungs are clear. All blood results are fine, except he has some issues with his red blood cells (H&H)! Showing anemia. The likely culprit is the significant change in his diet, or the lack thereof. He went over two days without food. This is easily remedied with a blood transfusion (immediate) or diet a couple weeks to replensish). There exists a small chance he is bleeding, but nothing makes them inclined to believe this is happening. In either case, Ryan is pale and anemic.
