Baclofen Update
The baclofen reduction went off without a hitch, and so far Ryan is not showing any negative signs. As it turns out, he actually had one of his best nights in months. I’m in no way suggesting this is a result of the decrease. I really believe it is completely unrelated. All I know is he experienced no noticeable discomfort from the adjustment… so far. I won’t rest easy until he hits the seventy-two hour mark on Sunday morning. I’ll be interest to see how he responds to therapies throughout the day.Ā
I already tentatively schedule another reduction in exactly two weeks (January 26th). My goal is to bring him down another 20 mcg to 115. It’s completely realistic that Ryan can get to 100 mcg in February! This is a huge milestone to hit. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
Kari and Sue
The women of the family will be spending Sunday and Monday together. Sue is driving to Morgantown early Sunday morning and staying through much of Monday, taking advantage of the federal holiday. My guess is Sue will arrive long before Kari stirs herself from bed, but this will give time to run to the grocery store and get her stocked-up on food. I see a mall visit in their future too.
Ryan and I will spend this time watching the NFL playoffs and surfing porn (just kidding… maybe). I’m kind of looking forward to having the house to ourselves. Guy time! I might even take the time to prance around in my boxers. Hell, I won’t take the time to close the blinds either! My thought is if you’re offended then don’t look. I’m sure I’ll find a way to get in trouble.
I always do.
Just because you’re running around in your underwear all day shouldn’t mean you take a vacation from posting! Just kidding. May you get some much-needed relaxation!
Ken- I am thinking a little loud music may be in your and Ryan’s future this weekend, too. You know: “Old Time Rock and Roll” ala Tom Cruise in ‘Risky Business’? You have the boxers (or so you say); I say…go for it!
Have a great guy weekend; I know Sue and Kari will have an amazing time together…
Hope you arre rooting for the Ravens, I know Ryan lived in a Ravens Roost in Morgantown so he should be rooting for them.
Ken , Wonderful news about baclofen reduction and hoping it continues to go well. Beautiful picture of Sue and Kari. They should have a great weekend…I know you and Ryan will be rooting for Giants š Hope your weekend is calm and peaceful. Enjoy games and lounging in your boxers:) Always here NGA Love Gail
If you 2 can figure out who to root for between Tebow and Brady, let me know, because I hate em both… haha.
Don’t hate on either! Big Pats fan here! But I could never hate on a guy who puts God first (Tebow).
I’m pulling for the Broncos. Mostly because I think the Patriots have no class.
Ouch! And that wasn’t me who disliked Ken’s comment…. just sayin, gotta root for the Pats, my hubby is from MA!
Thank you for the smiles, Ken. I hope you and Ryan have a great weekend doing guy stuff, and Sue and Kari have lots of fun together in Morgantown. Thinking of you all, and sending love, prayers and lots of hope.
Paula

Thanks for the great post! Hope the ladies and the gentlemen enjoy their weekends! Don’t want to offend anyone, but perhaps porn might be – um – stimulating for Ryan?? Could be a win-win!! š
We are always waiting to hear how the Baclofen reduction went. This is good news here! Hope the ladies have a great weekend and enjoy this invaluable mother-daughter time.
While you are in your boxers, how about a photo with the new snow blower? I think we could get at least ten bucks for 8 x 10 glossies! File this under Fundraiser Ideas.
I like it! But… I’ll wait until the first snowfall and do it in a ski cap and scarf.
And whip yelling, “Mush!”
You have 2 beautiful women in your life..enjoy your guys only weekend!!
