We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Update: Chick Magnet Article Contest

December 26, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 11 Comments

It looks like Team Diviney needs to create more readership traffic for the Chick Magnet article. We have until January 9th to make an impact. Here’s what I’m being told by the author:

Just wanted to give you some quick updated numbers on the Chick Magnet article. Last week’s page hits were about 60% more than normal…  I think we need more numbers to get into the finals. I really want to get you into the finals. If we can get there I know Team Diviney can put us over the top. From what I gather, it appears “page hits” are important in determining which articles will advance to the finals. In the simplest form, a page hit (or page view) tally simply counts each time a web page is pulled-up by anyone. Most web administrators (me included) place more restrictions on counting a view as legitimate. For example, a person must stay on the page for a certain length of time — usually greater than five seconds — to be counted (this way it eliminates “bounce” hits; those who pull up the web page and leave it quickly… indicating it was not what they were looking for).

So, if you would, please visit the article each day. If you want to help even more, share it on Facebook, Tweeter, and any other social media you use. This helps generate readership traffic to the article.

So, let me help you get rolling. Just click here to be taken to the article.

Is there a limit on the number of visits from a particular IP address per day? For example, if I open the link, leave it open for a little bit, close it, and open it again repeatedly, will all of those views count?

I’m not sure how they they set-up their tracking. I suppose clearing cookies each time after visiting might do the trick.
