I’m giving a newspaper interview later this morning for a story that will be published tomorrow. After this goes to print I’ll then issue a press release to several dozen news groups. I’ll post that press release on this website tomorrow. I wish I could be more specific, as I generally don’t like to tease (well, at least not with things like this).
So, hang in there loyal (and occasional) readers. We are less than twenty-four hours away from something I’ve had in the works for months. I’m so fuddruckin’ eager to share this with you.
Baclofen
Completely unrelated, the reduction in baclofen is going well. Thank goodness! We’re now well into the fourth day and I’m staying optimistic. I will say I notice Ryan is a bit more active… and I no longer think it might be attributed to the urinary tract infection.
Come on, Irene
Like most people on the east coast, I’m preparing for any effects of Irene. Where we are in northern Virginia shouldn’t bring anything too horrific. Mainly, loss of power. We’re in great shape, thanks to people who support Ryan’s Wish List. I have the gasoline generator on standby and the backup uninterruptible power cells fully charged and in place. Thank you for making this so much less stressful!

So happy to hear about Ryan’s progress. Stay safe during this hurricane. We don’t expect much more than 1 1/2 inchs rain, hell we can handle 12 inches of snow at once. My prayers continue for Ryan

I just knew something big was in store to end this week of catastrophic events. It must be something good–that’s how Father God operates, at least in my experience. He really is our friend, just like you are to your own children, Ken. Anticipating a good news day tomorrow. Always here with hope, faith, love and prayers. God is with us.

Looking fwd to your news release.
Excited to hear that Ryan is more active due to the reduction of the baclofen.
Ordered two boxes of the eye medicine from the wishlist last night. Look for the delivery in a few days.

Oh gosh, Jane did you also the Gen Teal drops? I sent some a few days ago when I ordered Natalie’s college books from Amazon. BTW, in case any of you have kids in college and they need to purchase text books, go in through Ryan’s wish list, order something from that, and then click continue to shop for other things. I was able to order 4 text books (they’re cheaper than at the bookstore)… I do this every year.

No problem. We can never get enough GenTeal.

Hi Ken, whatever it is, I know you have been handling it with the utmost finesse and intelligence — and we are here to support you 110% in whatever decisions you make. So … we’ll be on standby and continue checking back in to get the latest info. On another note, thank goodness for your generator!!!
That’s great news that Ryan is showing more responsiveness … looking for more activity as the sedating type drugs are gradually scaled back. Praying for Ryan’s continued recovery every day!! And for protection, peace and comfort for you and your family — Love & hugs, Paula

GREAT news! Can’t wait to hear, anythiing that keeps Ryan and his story relevant and front page is wonderful! The more people that know the better, especially since the Newark news did not think it was a news worthy story when it happened.
Ann H Tearle says
God bless and stay the course. I am looking forward to reading this breaking news from you, Ken. Still here…Annie

Any time you’re that fuddruckin’ excited about something, it must be pretty big! Can’t wait to find out what you’ve been up to!
Also, hearing how active Ryan has been since lowering his baclofen dosage is beyond encouraging. Thinking about his progress has kept me going many days. In the coming weeks, I’m expecting to see some pretty amazing posts about his progress 🙂
