Today’s moving day from the main level to the newly renovated basement. It’s exciting having an entire floor dedicated to Ryan’s care and treatment. It also means a lot to give space back to Kari for her to enjoy her home.
Sue scheduled the movers to relocate the hospital bed around 3:00 PM. I have no intention of moving anything earlier because, without the bed down there, nothing else should go beforehand. Yep… it’s going to be a busy evening.
Michael and Son Services is recording a video journal of their work. They published another installment that shows the work as it began only 10 days ago. It’s remarkable how efficient this company operates. Basim, the owner and president, made sure we were disrupted a little as possible. Even going so far as to put a lockbox on the basement door for the craftsmen, to avoid going through our house.
I’ll try to remember to shoot some video and pictures as we move everything downstairs. Well, I suppose it’ll be Sue shooting it at first while I do the heavy lifting. Then I’ll take over the camera as she does some the finish-up.
