I’m not really sure what might be more difficult than getting a team of high-profile any doctors to agree on a mutual time for a meeting. But, Sue did it. By Pete, she did! We will be holding a Skype conference call with the IBRF (International Brain Research Foundation) medical team this upcoming Tuesday afternoon.
So, this means a good part of today will be occupied with putting together an agenda of items we wish to discuss. We actually keep somewhat of a running list so the time today is spent filling in the detail. It’s a mentally exhausting task. By tonight neither of us will even want to think. Looks like a great night to watch “Swamp People”.
If your interested, I will share this agenda (most of it, anyhow) in a post tomorrow or Monday. Let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
For me, it seems like we’re stuck in a “holding pattern” with Ryan’s treatment. The ole’ “hurry up and wait” (I hate that expression). This might certainly be by intent, but it’s worthwhile pushing the issue a bit. True, I get impatient — always wanting to advance the ball on every down — and I need good reason why this might be the best approach. It’s in my make-up to ask “what next?”, even outside Ryan’s care. Although with Ryan’s care I am relentless.

Hello Ken, I’m glad you and Sue will be having this call with the IBRF. Hopefully they will be giving you an idea for the timeline for the next phase of Ryan’s treatment program. I would be very interested in seeing your agenda for the meeting. Knowing you, it will be very thorough. In the meantime, it is so encouraging to know Ryan’s eyes are showing improvement and that he is so healthy. You are doing an extraordinary job taking care of Ryan, Ken. Really — you are amazing. Hugs & prayers, Paula
