We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Michael & Son to the Rescue

Hot Water Tank Tanks

Yesterday morning Sue came down and said she was not getting any hot water for her bath. I went down to the basement to check the hot water tank. Well, I was about ten feet away from it when my socks got soaking wet. It was clear, even without looking closely, that our hot water tank bit it over night. I sure over a year-and-a-half of neglect didn’t help extend it’s life.

Without a second of hesitation, I went to my “go to guy” in handling situations such as this. Namely, Bryan Tiplady. This is how simple it was (for me).  Text:

Me: Hot water tank bit it last night. Water all over basement. Do you know anyone who can replace?

Bryan: I’ll take care of it asap.

Problem solved!

Michael and Son

By early afternoon Michael and Son was here. By evening it was installed. They really take so much pride in their work. Instead of just swapping out one tank for another, they installed a pan under the new one and replaced all the valves. The installer stayed until after seven that night just to make sure it heated properly and cycled!

This morning I get an email from Bryan saying Michael and Son is picking-up the cost of the whole job! Basim, the owner, wanted to do this for us. He’s just a very good guy. No other way to put it. Here is an excerpt from Bryan’s email:

Ken,

Basim and I spoke today.  He is taking care of the entire hot water replacement.  Simply Amazing.  Wouldn’t take a dime…..and no, I am not lying ( I know you just had that thought).  I have no hand in this……

Please! I beg you. Use Micheal and Son Services when you need any sort of home repair or remodeling work. This is a highly reputable company that has a culture of excellence.

This example of contractors helping within their community reminds me that there are actually more better people in the world than evil. Thank you Basim for your helping the Diviney’s, goodness begets goodness. Bryan your helping the Diviney’s in multiple capacities is inspiring. My hat is off to you! Ken, we are always SHSP~ Much love to all, Jen

“he’s a very good guy.” Indeed. If I lived out there, I would go out of my way to use them. I mean it.
If I know somebody does good, conscientious work AND is a decent person–I give preference to THEIR services. In such cases, I don’t even mind paying a little more.

Such good people in this world – so glad that you get the help you need when you need it. Kudos to Michael and Son – if they would come to Buffalo I would be happy to use their services. It really warms the heart to hear these stories of love and respect for a wonderful family~!
