We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Update on Technological Issues

May 11, 2011 by Ryan's Rally LLC 9 Comments

As time permitted over the past several days, much work was done to (hopefully) improve the performance of ryansrally.org. I’d consider the upgrades to be in the “beta” stage, since only time will tell if they work as envisioned. I’m actually going to keep my fingers crossed when I publish this post to see if all went according to plan.

Site Enhancements

  1. Image representing Twitter as depicted in Crun...

Twitter. For those of you who use Twitter, Ryan’s Rally is now active. Just follow us @RyansRally. Anytime I update this website with a post, it will automatically tweet any followers. Since I am new to this communication I might not be using the appropriate lingo, so I hope I’m getting my message across.

  2. Advertising. With the help of a fellow WVU alum, a couple of advertisment sections are now included. If something interest you, please click on it. But a word of caution, please do not continually click ads in an effort to help raise money. This will certainly throw up a red flag and might jeopardize future opportunities.
  3. E-mail Notifications. I believe I finally have this working again. What a pain in the butt that turned out to be, but I feel it is well worth it. Just like the above enhancements, I am doing everything I can to make visiting this site as easy and enjoyable as possible. To sign-up for email alerts of new posts, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your email. Important! You will receive an email that will ask you to confirm your subscription by clicking a link.
  4. Site Performance. Again, only time will tell, but I believe everything is now optimized for speed and appearance. My only concern remaining is with the hosting company (godaddy.com), since they haven’t been as responsive as I had hoped.

Please be looking for another post sometime today that is related to Ryan. After all, that’s why your all here. I have some good news to report on the basement project that I want to share.

Incredible time you put into this plus caring for Ryan. Glad you said not to keep hitting the ads to raise money, I wouldn’t have known any better and would have done it. Hope you are all having a good day.
