We Got This!

"I tell him I tried. I tried to keep memory alive; I tried to fight those who would forget. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. There is so much injustice & suffering crying out for our attention. We must take sides. We must interfere. -E.W.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Just make sure that’s a blarney stone you’re rubbing…

Personally, I don’t have much knowledge of why the day is celebrated. What I know is it is a religious holiday. Celebrated in honor of the most recognized patron saint of Ireland who lived in the late-4th and early-5th century. Like many, I know to wear green, or be pinched (which is why I wear blue… did you know this was the original traditional color?).  Other than those factoids, I only know I have a neighbor who throws one hell of a party for the occasion.

Early Start

Ryan and I got a jump on the day. I had him up around 6:00 AM and we got right into our routine. Like many nights, I didn’t get much sack time even though Ryan had a peaceful night.

Nonetheless, I feel refreshed and motivated. There’s just something about watching a sunrise that wakes up my inner-essence. It’s either that, or coffee.

Plants

Wow! What can I say? Our home is quickly rivaling the Botanical Garden in D.C.  Our sincerest thanks to all who have left potted plants on our doorstep. We are well on our way to having a healthy and beautiful home. I was just looking to get some starts, but this is way better! Speaking of which, I’m still looking for a 4 or 5 starts from an English Ivy.

Now, this might just be coincidence, but Ryan’s oxygen saturation was pegged on 100% last night. His respiratory system is as clear as a bell. I’m not sure he has ever been this mucus-free. Just amazing! I hope it continues. I’m just angry I didn’t think of this before if, in fact, the plants are helping.

Kari Coming Home!

WVU spring breaks starts tomorrow after classes. This means our daughter, Kari, will be home with us for a week. I can’t wait! I’m going crazy waiting. It’s like time has slowed to a crawl. She somehow breathes life back into me.

Sue has a special treat lined up for her. I know Kari reads this blog everyday and I need to be careful not to spill the beans. So, there will be more on this sometime next week.

Some peaceful music on a low volume might be good to listen to once in a while throughout the day, too.

    Top ‘o the morning, Divineys!
It’s always a blessing to wake up with God’s sunrise. I sense a calmness about your dawn and the beauty of the plants surrounding you. It sounds like an answer to a healthier environment as well as the aesthetic beauty it offers. With Kari home for a week, I wish you seafood dinners, lots of hugs, laughter, conversation, and prayers to sustain your every need. Lots of love and prayers from Morgantown! Have a great day! God loves you!

Happy St. Patrick’s day to you and yours, too! Hmmm — wonder where we could get an Irish Coffee with green whipped cream this morning and start the day off right! Maybe someone will drop one off for you, Ken, along with green eggs and ham. Still here — and in green.
