After 14 days in ICU, finally, we are home!
Ryan was transported from the hospital around noon yesterday. I promptly dressed him in his clothes and put him in his chair. We brought him into the kitchen as Sue and I sat at the table and refined the daily care and medicine schedule. It took over five hours to figure it out!
Ryan is now resting in his own bed. In his own room. In his own house. There really is no place like home. When we weighed him last night, we were delighted to see he maintained his body weight. Ryan only dropped less than 3 pounds! To me, this shows Ryan is physically healthy on a generalized level.
Today is a day of gently re-establishing routine. I plan to have him up and about early. We’ll start the day off with stretching and a full range of motion.

Aren’t you the best Mom & Dad ever!!!! We love you & Sue, Kari and Ryan. Getting the most out of life is all about perspective, isn’t it? At least that’s what I got out of your most recent update. It’s a good message to hear, because it helps to frame even the simplest things in the most positive light. Praise the Lord, He is with us in the good times and the bad. Now everybody let’s get back to work on our fundraising efforts, got to keep Ryan moving in a positive direction!!!

Praising the Lord that Ryan is back at home and in his own loving and caring environment. My heart continues to skip a lot of beats — this time as I read how it took you approx. 5 hours to organize the medicine/care routine. God Bless you! I continue to keep you in my prayers and in my heart. Sending you a ton of hugs, as always,

Yet one more hurdle that the Diviney family overcame. I will be praying for a day filled with peace for you all. Rest up because Ryan knows that he’s home! He must be encouraged that he has made it this far, and must look forward to working out with his dad! I pray that you all thoroughly enjoy Kari, that work is smooth for you, Sue, and that Ryan and Ken can charge back up for the next victory. I love you all. Love, Cass
