Holiday Cards
Over the past few days I’ve asked people to help make sure we don’t accidentally overlook anyone this holiday season. Last year we made an attempt at sending cards, but quickly realized we didn’t have addresses for everyone; like those who donated through volunteer work, PayPal, U.S. Mail, drop-offs, meals, or the Wish List, to name a few. Still, we sent out cards to those we could.
Now that the Thanksgiving week is behind — and people are resuming normal activities — I thought today would be the best time to really bring attention to it. Also, I figure that more people will be online today to take advantage of the Cyber Monday deals being offered.
I know how humble everyone is, but if you didn’t get a card last year or helped Ryan in any way, would you please do this? It would mean a lot to me and my family to send you a card. If not for you, would you do it for us? It would be a huge time-saver. I know it’s not much compared to all you did, but it’s something we really want to do.
My daughter, Kari, designed the card and we’re excited to do this. I received an email on Saturday confirming the cards were shipped to our home, so I expect to see them in our mailbox today or tomorrow. Sue has deemed this upcoming weekend as the time to address and sign the cards. We’ll put them in the mail next Monday. As you can see, time is running short.
You know what? Even if you got one last year, would you please fill out the form below anyhow… just to be safe? Just complete the boxes below and click the “sign up” button. That’s it. Done!
If you’re not sure if you’ve done this already, then do it again. It’ll simply overwrite (or update) what might already be there.
[pdb_signup]Again, this would be a HUGE time-saver for us. More specifically, for Sue. She must have spent two weeks (on and off) last year searching for addresses of people on the internet; I helped out when I could. Sometimes we weren’t even sure if we eventually found the correct or recent one, but sent the card anyhow. Our feeling was it would be better for a stranger to get the card then to not send one at all. So, you see, we might have thought (or hoped) you got our card but perhaps not!

Can’t wait to see it!

Ken, you put the time, effort, and money towards Ryan, nobody that belongs to this blog expects you to personally thank any of us. With what you folk deal with 24/7 you do not need to worry about thanking Ryans friends. JUst reading your blogs everyday is thanks enough.

Thank you for being so kind. Still, it would mean so much if we could do this.

Dennis, this is exactly my thought! I don’t know why Ken can’t make a special Christmas page and thank everyone right here on the blog, except that now they already have the cards coming soon in the mail. I hope you can at least get lots of folks to help with addressing the cards. I know the cards are just beautiful, especially knowing that Kari designed it.

Ken and Sue, Wish I could help you with getting them out and thank you so much for thinking of us.
Love and hugs to you all
Gail

I just wish I could be there to help address all these cards, since I don’t presume you will have time to do labels. With you in spirit and love.
